pilot experiences

A significant number of all recent Cirrus customers did not have a pilot's license when they bought their airplane.

They decided to fly – or get flown by a personal pilot – to deal with common travel hassles: traffic jams in major metro areas, a cut-back in airline schedules to smaller towns, and the security hassles and delays we all experience every time we travel on commercial airlines.

Why We Fly:

"It all started at my 30th high school reunion: I realized how fast 30 years go by – and decided that by my 50th birthday, I would realize a dream: learning to fly. My wife and I live in Oregon, and have a second home in Palm Springs – flying ourselves there would be fun, and make life a lot easier." » Read full story

"I've always been intrigued by flying and took a few lessons when I was in 9th grade. My grandfather was a B17 pilot and trainer during WWII. Flying makes the limited vacation time I have truly special. My wife and I have a place on Lake Ozark in Missouri – a 3-hour direct flight from Dayton in a Cirrus SR22, but an impossibly long drive for a weekend trip. Spending high quality, relaxing time with my wife and friends is a lifestyle unattainable without my Cirrus." » Read full story

"I have always been interested in flying, since I played with remote airplanes as a kid. A combination of business and personal reasons finally got me into aircraft ownership: I wasn't visiting clients enough due to travel hassles via car or airlines – and my wife wanted to travel with our 45 lb dog, but not in the baggage compartment of an airliner, nor stuck in traffic for hours on Friday nights. I now realize that the airplane is a great business tool in more ways that I expected: My clients love getting a ride, and it is a big show of trust to have them go fly with me." » Read full story
