TERMS OF PROGRAM

The Standardized Instructor (“Instructor”) named below with agrees, as part of Instructor’s inducement to Cirrus Design Corporation (“Cirrus”) to permit Instructor to be considered for membership in the Cirrus Standardized Instructor Program (“Program”), that all terms and conditions associated with this Program will be followed at all times. These terms include, but are not limited to the following, which may be changed at any time without prior notice to Instructor:

  1. The Instructor is at no time an employee or an agent of Cirrus and will not represent himself or herself as such under any circumstances. Standardized instructor can in no way state or imply that they are an Authorized instructor or otherwise “Endorsed” or “Approved” by Cirrus but may only state or represent that they are member of the standardization program.
  2. The making of any representations or statements regarding having successfully completed the Program is valid only when the Instructor is presenting standardization training courses approved by Cirrus.
  3. Instructor shall remain solely responsible for determination of and issuing of a “sign off” for any student or pilot. No student or pilot will be “signed off” as capable of flying a Cirrus aircraft merely by attending or completing the requirements of a training course approved by Cirrus. The student may be “signed off” when the Instructor is satisfied that the student is capable and competent to fly the Cirrus aircraft alone and unaccompanied used during a particular training course.
  4. Only current, up to date, training materials, approved by Cirrus will be used in any training associated with this Program.
  5. No instruction will take place in any aircraft configured by model or optional equipment with which Instructor is not familiar.
  6. No instruction under this Program will take place unless the Instructor has accumulated at least ten (10) hours of flight training in a Cirrus aircraft during the preceding six (6) months.
  7. Instructor agrees to be evaluated by Cirrus or their designee at any reasonable time and place while a member of this Program and to participate in refresher training courses offered by Cirrus or their designee as periodically required by Cirrus.
  8. Instructor acknowledges that Cirrus may withdraw the privileges of the Program at any time and for any reason without notice.
  9. Instructor acknowledges that use of trademarks, trade names, copyrighted materials or other property of Cirrus is prohibited without express written authorization by Cirrus.
  10. Instructor acknowledges that in the event of any accident or incident the Instructor must notify the Program coordinator at Cirrus within 24 hours. The Program coordinator has the right to suspend the Instructor’s Program membership certificate until a full investigation is completed and until such time, Instructor shall cease to make any representations regarding the Program or Instructor’s membership in the Program.
  11. Instructor acknowledges that being a member of the Program is considered a privilege and that the Instructor’s action or inaction as a member of the Program indirectly reflects upon Cirrus as a whole. If as a member of this Program Cirrus learns that the Instructor is making any disparaging remarks or comments about Cirrus, any of its products, and/or employees, Cirrus has the right to investigate and terminate the Instructor’s membership in the Program without notice.
  12. Instructor acknowledges that the Program is no substitution for the Instructor’s own knowledge and experience in training of student’s and pilots. Instructor recognizes that the Instructor and not Cirrus is responsible as stated in Paragraph 3 and that the Instructor shall at all time remain current as a Certified Flight Instructor.
  13. Instructor acknowledges that they must follow the guidelines and procedures for any programs that Cirrus may currently offer or in the future.
